Turning ideas into packaging reality

Proofs-of-principle (PoPs) are studies performed in the Rychiger Laboratory wherein a newly developed process sequence and/or novel technology is applied to a specific packaging challenge. The goals of PoPs are manifold. The first PoP goal is to provide customers with a clear demonstration that Rychiger’s technology and process development know-how will successfully provide solutions to meet their packaging needs. A second major goal of PoPs is to provide Rychiger with a platform upon which new technologies and processes can be studied and optimized. PoPs are often carried out with semi-continuous customer interaction, as customers educate Rychiger regarding their needs and vision, while Rychiger shares findings and explains their consequences for machine design.
